Escape the City Life : Roda Al Bustan

Located in the heart of Dubai 5 min away from the airport and 15 min away from the Dubai Mall, Roda Al Bustan (previously known as Al Bustan Rotana) is undeniably one of Dubai’s originals.

The iconic architecture of this hotel is known by any long term Dubai resident.

The property is extremely popular amongst tourists & visitors given its proximity to the airport.

I recently got a chance to stay at the hotel after it was rebranded under Roda Hotels & Resorts & all I can defiantly say, that the essence of the property remains just as warm and welcoming as it did when it was inaugurated back in 1997, Unlike many properties Roda Al Bustan maintains its old world charm while holding on to the true essence of old Dubai.

The hotel boasts 7 F&B outlets & was once home to Dubai’s famous award winning Thai Restaurant ‘Blue elephant’ which has now rebranded to – Bambooda. (Read my review of Bamboo here ).

If you do decide to dine with them for breakfast, the buffet is served at the Makan restaurant located on the ground floor.

The medium sized breakfast selection is pretty average serving up the usual breakfast items sausages, eggs, waffles, etc. & honestly is nothing out of the ordinary.

If you do happen to be their Loyalty Program Member could choose to dine privately at their executive lounge that serves breakfast, Afternoon Tea, & evening canapes.

After what seemed like decades’ worth of relaxation packed into two days I chose to end my stay with a relaxing afternoon by the pool and indulge in their outdoor Jacuzzi.

The smiling and eager to help staff always knew what to recommend &  defiantly made my stay an unforgettable one.
